Nebius Group (NBIS) functions primarily as an AI infrastructure and graphics processing unit cloud provider. The company generates revenue by renting high performance computing power and cloud services specifically optimized for machine learning workloads.

The main customers are artificial intelligence native startups, enterprise level technology corporations, and research labs that require massive computational scale. Regarding pricing power, Nebius operates in a space where it faces intense competition from massive hyperscalers and specialized peers.

Looking at their financial statements, the net income fluctuates year to year. I don't like that.

Their revenues from 2020 to 2025 also doesn't look good. The company also carries a total debt to equity ratio of 132% as of the most recent quarterly reports. Personally, I don't like these numbers.

The operating margin is deep in negative territory at approximately negative 70% due to staggering capital buildout costs and operating expenses. This operating loss stands in sharp contrast to massive traditional cloud providers like Amazon Web Services which enjoy highly profitable operating margins.

Its capital expenditure is highly aggressive and I am not sure if they could make the money back. With billions of dollars allocated annually to infrastructure, the business risks rapid liquidity depletion if revenue scaling fails to outpace its heavy commitments.

Nebius also operates within the hyper growth AI cloud infrastructure sector. While the industry is expanding rapidly, it is deeply cyclical and capital intensive. Demand is tightly bound to corporate spending cycles on technology and artificial intelligence development.

The company faces intense competition from both dedicated GPU cloud providers like CoreWeave and multi trillion dollar hyperscalers including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud.

My personal opinion is that this is a company that I wouldn't invest in. It's too high risk for me. I am worried about their profitability and their powerful competitors.
